Default Mopar Sirius Kit

What radios are compatible with the Mopar Sirius Kit?

I've got a Caliber SXT on order with the In-Dash 6-Disc (No Cassette) stereo. I'm from Canada if that makes any difference.

I know it works with the Navigation radio, but I'm wondering about mine. Also, what will the display show if it does connect (Song, Artist, Etc.)?

My dealer didn't have much info, and mopar.ca doesn't even list the 2007 Caliber yet.

Thanks.

I have the same question about the Sirius. I saw another post that someone said they don't see the artist and song information, but they had the base radio. I ordered an R/T yesterday from my dealer with Sirius and the AM/FM 6 disc changer without the cassette. It also will have the driver convenience group.

If anyone has this package with Sirius, please let me know if you see the full sirius information. Otherwise, I will install my S-50.

You can use Sirius with any radio that comes with the Caliber. I believe the standard radio won't display all of the information of either what's playing, or what station you're on.

I was able to order Sirius with my Caliber without getting a special radio. When I get my Caliber I can report back.

Can somebody confirm the part# for the Sirius kit? Is there more than one part to it?

Keep in mind that I'm in Canada, I'm not sure if that makes any difference in part numbers etc.

Thanks.

Anyone looking for any Dodge parts, here is a great person to deal with, and he has the best prices I have ever seen, Even with shipping costs, I cannot find parts any cheaper, or someone with more knowledge.

Henson Motors
Madisonville, TX
800-530-5337
Then Ask for Art Kendricks in Parts

Tell him Mike with Dodge Truck World Sent you.

He is always willing to look up parts, and get the performance parts you need.

I bought an SRT-10 hood, 6.1L cam, plug wires, spark plugs, and many interior and exterior parts for my Dodge Ram Truck.

I hope this doesn't go against any TOS rules on this site, This is not an advertisement, just a little help. If it does, Sorry.

Later

Mike

Well I just finished talking with my dealer. As of now the Canadian market only has the option of the Mopar Sirius kit. We are not able to get the factory installed one. The worse part is that I'm looking at over $700 between parts and labour to get this.

It does fully integrate with the stereo and there is no messy wires like with my Streamer GTR.

I've got another 5 weeks before my Caliber comes in, just looking to see what others here think. Is that too much to have a cleanly installed Sirius? It's also warrantied for 3 years as well.

Thanks.

So I've wrote off the Mopar kit. $700 is a little past my limit. So I've been thinking of how clean I can make the Streamer GTR install. I've seen this before:

http://www.tss-radio.com/stv2-mounti...ay-p-3656.html

To me it looks like that cubby under the stereo is just about a 1 DIN size. Can somebody take a quick measurement from the dimensions in that link and let me know if this would work.

Thanks.

I've got an SXT with the 6disc cd and Sirius. If you push the INFO button it will show you the artist and song, but only on that one station. And if you change stations, you will have to hit it again. I have the music control buttons on the back of my steering wheel, so I'm having a great time just playing with that. I have no problems with the Mopar Sirius unit- yea it's a little pricy, but it saved me a lot of time and worry.
