12V Outlets and Smokers Group
How many 12V outlets are there, and where are they placed?
Also, does anyone have the Smokers Group? What exactly do you get with this? I'm not a smoker but like the ashtry for change. Does the ashtry go in the cubby under the radio, or is it one that takes up a cup holder? Where does the lighter go?
Thanks.

This is only one 12v outlet and its under the arm rest. It does NOT have a ground plug, only the 2 main prongs. The smokers groups comes with a standalone ashtray that can sit inside a cup holder. I believe the lighter goes into the round power outlet in front of the cup holders.
All you get is a removable ashtray and the lighter. You get one of each. The center console has a place to put change in it I believe if you lift the arm rest up.

You may want to check this video out below. It was made by someone who owns a Caliber and he does a walk-through of it. He does mess up a couple of things like saying the standard radio is a 6-disc in dash CD player, and also that the Convenience Group includes heated seats. Those 2 things he says are NOT correct and are separate options that you would need to add on to your order.

I'm bummed that the in-dash 12volt socket does not stay on with the key off. Sometimes I leave my cell phone plugged in while at work to charge it. My 2004 Durango has 4 12volt outlets. 2 of them stay on with the key off.
mileshuff-- take a gander at this thread... https://dodgeforum.com/m_446349/mpag.../tm.htm#468400
We just had a very similar conversation!
Tigerr- that is too bad you couldn't get another 12v outlet like you wanted. You have to admit though, MOST cars don't offer too many outlets, never mind the AC/2-prong outlet that the Caliber does. That's some forward thinking on their part. You can always go to Radioshack or wherever and get a DC splitter for 5 bucks!

Before I ordered my RT which I still am waiting on I did test drive one and it had 2 outlets one under the radio and the other under the armrest....my husband made sure that he pointed them both out to me
