Dodge getting bad reviews to Spark Chevy and Ford
I am wondering if Dodge isn't getting some very questionable reviews about the Caliber in order to spark the other American automakers to make better cars. At the same time tricking the public into buying from the other 2 so they don't go belly up. Right now Dodge is miles ahead of Chevy and Ford. Dodge has very loyal buyers and these reviews and not just the Caliber but trucks too, seem strange. There is way more going on behind the curtins than what we are seeing. When MT rated the HHR (a dressed up mini van) over the (pre production) Caliber I had a feeling something was up!
Personally, I put little to no stock in what magazines say about the cars they test. If it doesn't have over the top HP numbers and doesn't run well with their favorite cars, they don't like them. Now I will say though that sometimes they are right.
Talk to people who actually own and live with the cars. That means more than what a journalist thinks (at least as far as I'm concerned)...
