Just wondering if anyone installed these chips and seen the 8 mile increase in mileage, as stated by these chip manufacturers? THey also have a chip to boost hp and acc. These chips cost around $10-$20, and install with the use of no tools or the need of mech. experience. Is this too good to be true?[sm=confused06.gif]

It is way to good to be true. If there was such an amazing, cheap device, it would allready be in your cars. It is a total scam.

 

Don't buy these.

They are just a 25 cent resistor that plugs into the air temp. sensor on the intake on most cars. It fakes out the computer into thinking the outside air temp is cooler. The computer thinks the air is cooler thus denser and will adjust air/fuel mixture accordingly, the computer will even advance timing. Extra fuel and timing = slight H.P. Gain and poor gas mileage. They are a huge ripoff. I did this mod on my Ram truck and there was no noticable difference, it did nothing but make the exhaust tip black from running too rich.

if only it was a supercharged unit... a chip... will increase mileage and hp.. for sure (in certain condition)... all with the gain in torque.
