Default The Rattling !!

Ok this is the only problem I have with this car..... This rattling in the passenger side, I hear it around the dash or glove box area. My gf hears it around the door. I read other forums and people say its around the center console.

Where the hell is it?!!? What is it ?!!? and how do you fix it !?!? Because its very annoying !!

Sorry the yelling typing of sentences...

Sorry, can't help you on that one. Although I did have a bunch of rattling for a while on the passenger side, until I realized that it was a CD that I threw over into the passengers side door compartment. Since I had only 4 CD's in my 6 CD player I stuck it in and next thing you know- the rattling was gone, and the music was great! I know that won't help you out much, but that's my story. And I've never heard one rattle since.

Its suppose to be a cable or wire in the center console that is causing the problem, sounds like it is all over the passenger area, but the person who reported the fix, says it is in the center console.

I doubt that, it sounds like it coming from outside. I had my wife drive while I listened. I rolled down the window, and It was outside and under the passenger side for sure.

Ok, then you might have the other causes:

1. The Heat Shield in the engine compartment

2. The Wheel Well Cover is loose.

Other two possibilities I have heard.

See Me_Also under the Caliber Click topic this is what he found
Subject : 2007 PM Rattle from sway bar end link

Market: US, Canada, Mexico, International
Model year(s) affected: 2007
Model(s) affected: PM - Caliber
LOP Codes: 02 - Suspension

Rattles from the front sway bar may be caused by the washer on the end link nut breaking and falling off on vehicles built before 3/24/06. Engineering has changed the fastener in production and MOPAR stock is being purged. No CAGRIS reports are needed unless after the clean point. Subject : Rattle or "flutter" from front of vehicle

Market: US, Canada, Mexico, International
Model year(s) affected: 2007
Model(s) affected: PM - Caliber
LOP Codes: 02 - Suspension, 23 - Body

A rattle or "flutttering" noise may be heard from the front end on cars built before 3/9/06. The front wheel well liner may be loose. Production fix was to change from a 10X15 mm slot to an 8 mm hole for the fasteners. Dealers are using foam tape to fix. No field action planned.
