1st ROADTRIP- Caliber goes to the races.
Saturday morning, my wife & I loaded up the Caliber and headed up to Fort Worth to see the LearJet 500 Indy race at Texas Motor Speedway. It was a night race, and the Caliber sure looked good sitting in the parking lot, and as far as I could tell, it might have been the only one there. The race was great! Oh, BTW- last year for my 50th birthday, my wife bought me a Mario Andretti Racing School package, and I got to drive 6 laps at TMS in an Indy Car. I gotta tell you- there's nothing like driving 151+ mph into turn 3 and still keeping your foot on the gas! I only missed being the fastest in the class by a few 10ths of a mile. Not bad for an old guy. Next morning we went to Ok. City to see my Dad. He's 82 and he loved the car. We're home now and I'm happy to say, there were no problems- the care drives great at 96 mph(DPS and OHP placement kept me from reaching 100), the (cool) zone worked great (ya gotta shove that Camel box top in that slider), seats were comfortable, MusicGate and Sirius were awesome, and there was plenty of room. It's just a fun car to drive and take on a roadtrip! I love this car and had so much fun, I just had to write and tell everyone about it. Nothing like a good wife and a good car!!! Hope the pic comes through- I can't preview it.
Thanks- Fitz
