DaimlerChrylser Canada Screws Up R/T Pricing
DaimlerChrysler Canada is pretty much screwing up their pricing of the R/T model for the Caliber. Take a look:
SE Base MRSP: U.S.: $13 985 Canada: $15 995 Difference: $2 010
SXT BaseMRSP: U.S.: $15 985 Canada: $17 695 Difference: $1 710
R/T BaseMRSP: U.S.: $19 985 Canada: $23 995 Difference: $4 010
Does anyone else not agree that a $4000 difference is a little absurd? I mean last I checked the currence of U.S. to Canadian was 1.09 and the other two models only have a 2K difference. Why double the difference for the R/T????? I think they screwed up big time here. Even with my employee discount I won't by the R/T at this price with the stuff I want. I hate how I have to be relagated to the SXT, as I love the ESP and AWD in the R/T.
Bad move Daimler Canada.... Bad move....

It's not only DCX that doing the price gouge, take a look at last Saturday's Toronto Star "Wheels" section for a great article on what's going on.

Never knew we had it that good in the 90's.. But that doesn't give them the right to overcharge $10K like they are in some models in the article.
Oh well... Looks like Dodge/DC Canada is set on overcharging the R/T only to Canadians... What a joke. The big 5 Windsor delearships combined only have 1 r/t model on a lot out of like 25-30 Calibers... That says something right their, and I guarantee you Windsor is top 2 in Chrsyler sales in Canada (It's either Windsor or Brampton for sure).
Hopefully the new '07 R/T's with FWD will be priced correctly... But I doubt it..
Anyway, thx again!
