Default Learning to drive a Caliber

Driving a Caliber is not like driving any other ordinary car. It takes a little adjusting to be able to get the most out of it. Once you know how to handle the gas pedal, the vehicle reponds nicely. This is why some people (who don't have the patience to re-learn how to drive this car) complain and moan about the way it runs. It's not so much the car as it is the driver.

i don't like the throttle response on the SE manual. when you step on the gas pedal , there is a delay before the motor starts to rev. This delay causes stalling , occassionally when the clutch is released.(especially on hills)

Don't release the clutch as fast then.

It definately takes some getting used to. I've noticed a big difference just in the couple of weeks that I've had mine. I'm enjoying it alot more now that I'm over that learning curve.

Driving ANY different car is going to be different from what you're used to. I've been driving a Dodge Ram truck for the past nine years, and its my only source of transportation available to me. So, when I test drove some small cars a few months back, it felt weird driving such small vehicles again, including the Dodge Caliber! What it boils down to is the fact you get used to driving a certain vehicle, compact car, truck, whatever, for a long period of time, driving soemthing different is going to be different in all sorts of ways! To moan and complain about it is down right retarded![8D]
