Default Well, I asked Dr Z.....

Dear Dr Z
Why doesn't my Caliber R/T air conditioning blow cold air? It blows
cool air, but it's not very cold.

Thank you for your email to DaimlerChrysler regarding your Caliber R/T.
I regret the problem your vehicle has experienced and appreciate the
time and effort you took to bring this matter to my attention.
Comments like yours are one way we have to learn of problems that may develop
and improvements desired by customers.
Unfortunately, given the many variables involved, we are unable to
diagnose your vehicle's problem via email. We recommend contacting
your authorized DaimlerChrysler dealership to arrange an appointment for
proper diagnosis and repair.

I'd hoped for a little more than a form letter....

Well, I know how impersonal and pointless those cookie cutter responses are.
But what else can you look for from a website like that...?
Your best outlet is always your dealer.

Do you really think its Dr.Z answering questions?! I highly doubt that, its probably the same kind of people you get when you call the Dodge info line. The kinds of people who don't know their own a$$ from a hole in the ground...[sm=headbang.gif]

At least I'm not the only one who thinks the A/C leaves much to be desired.

My A/C gets ice cold but it does take awhile to cool down. I live where its well over 100F. The first few minutes I drive with the windows down to quickly get the super heated air out of the car! Then I run the A/C with recirculation mode on. Around town it does take awhile but it does get cold. On the highway it gets very cold. Decent window tinting that reflects UV helps considerably. Too often people use tint to block light rather than UV and heat. Use a good metalized film.
