Default Stuck in Park

Stopped by Walgreen the other day hopped into the car and It was stuck in park. What is this about? Is anyone else having this problem. It happed twice to me. Its not on paperwork because tow truck man did something under the stirring column so it became drivable, I wish he didn't.

Interesting. If I were you, I would bring that car in ASAP to have it checked out! Your service department might be able to give you some insight...

If you have your car checked out, let us know the outcome!

Good luck!

This has been an issue for some people usually if they park on a hill. There's a hidden button or something under the bezel cover that will allow you to get it unstuck. This isn't a major issue, as it rarely happens to anyone, but it does happen every once in a while.

I had this same thing happen to me in my driveway. Like the previous email said, i had used the manual override switch, which is hidden under the right-hand side of the shifter console. Once i did that, i was able to shift again. Took it into the dealership, they looked at it, and didnt see any problems. Left it overnight for them, and in the morning they experienced the same issue i had.

For resolution, they ended up replacing the shifter. Notes on the service documentation said that it appeared a spring was weak.

Hope this helps - it's not fun getting stranded.
