if your going down the road try and roll the rear windosw down and leave the front ones up. does anyone get a real bad road noise and it shakes the car?

 

Yes it"s called buffeting and it mentions it the owners manual.

 

Our Bonnevilles did it as well.

 

This was discussed earlier I recall, but I do not believe an explanation was offered. So here it is.. Some vehicles do not have a rear vent (usually found behind wheel well) that allows excess air pressure to escape from the passenger compartment. The 'buffeting' is caused by the difference in air pressure inside and outside the vehicle. The noise you hear is the air exchange caused by these conflicting pressures. The noise is usually heard at certain speeds and is usually cured three ways./ Leave the windows up, roll them all down, or drill holes in rear 1/4 panel (big ones, cause little ones will whistle..and no that is not from past experience...
