Stalling when shifting down to the second gear while making a left turn,anybody hat this proplem????
I just took my wife to work and while i am making a lefthand turn i am shifting down into second gear and the the engine shuts of everything dead ,i scared the hell out of me no control off stearing or breaks only emergency breaks ,any body had this hapent .Also i shouild let you guys know that the car was all day at the dealer and guess what nothing happent ,they cant find nothing wrong ,so i pickt it up and went to tim Hortens drive true and shifting down to the second and guess what the engine stalls again ,any advise would be helpfull because it stards to scare the living hell out of me

That is an odd one. Would almost think when the car hunches that particular way, something electrical is loosing contact.

I would take it back to the dealer and get someone from the garage to ride with you for a few blocks and make it do it. Sometimes, you have these shops in dealers where mechanics get lazy and nearly everything thats brought in is "I can't replicate your problem", unless its something simple like an oil change. But if it happens when they're riding with you, then they know darn well it happens and they have to fix it.
I have the autostick, but I also had the same problem when turning. I was unable to pick up speed for a second or two. It happened two or three times from what I remember, but I don't know what caused it.
I see on the Jeep Commander site they have a similar problem and they have all started filing a complaint with NHTSA
