Default Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor

I've got the 2.0L Diesel with standard 17" wheels, my problem however is 2 and more fold.
I went to the local Mags outlet, bought a pair of 17" mags (do not want to forfeit anything on the
warranty), the problem however came up with the TPMS's not fitting/seating properly in the new Mag.

The sensor housing and valve protrude through the rim wall at a diferent angle which causes the sensor
to not seat flush against the rim itself, thus hanging in mid air, this can not be good for the sensor itself
as it might break off at the wrong inpact (pothole etc). For this reason I could not fit the new Mags.

Leaving the sensors out: I spoke to the local Chrysler specialist in Pretoria - South Africa, they advised
that the TPMS could not be deactivated, this causes the alarms to ring everytime you start the vehicle, it also
flashes on the dials that you need to check the tires. I need a rim with the same dish/curvature as the Caliber's
dish so that the sensors could fit the same - any advice would be appreciated.
