Does anyone know if the Caliber is still being made for this years sales or will they roll it out again for next years sales? I have noticed around where I live and in other cities that some dealerships only have a couple left and some here have none left and haven't had any for a long time now. They also don't avertise anymore in the papers, TV or the movie previews before movies.

 

Yes, they're still making the Caliber at 100% full production. Its just that the car is so damn popular that its not sitting on dealers lot only an average of 15 days. So when a dealer goes one or more Calibers, they don't sit on the lots very long. They're not advertising it because they can't keep up with orders as it is so there's no use in spending money to advertise a car they can't keep up with as far as orders go. Advertising is only for getting people to buy a product that isn't selling or a brand new product. This is something thats selling really well so it doesn't currently need any advertising nor incentives.

Some dealers don't have any because they're not alloted any. Not every dealer gets allocations to Calibers every month. Some only get them every other month, others only get them every 2 or 3 months.

In the UK some dealers have been selling pre-register (second hand) Caliber's for more than the normal cost of a new one.

I live in quite a big city in the UK and I only seen one apart from mine and the few the local dealer has. The TV adverts have stopped he to.

So I feel quite lucky that I got mine when I did and its great.

 

My dealer in Antwerp was allocated 6 i believe; 2 for showroom, 1 test car and 3 for sale.
Mine was one of the 3. He has none left now till end of the year apparently (looking at the delivery time.)
They tend to swop cars between the dealers depending on client spec; but those other dealers have none left either.
So the Caliber is a hot patato
