When i parked my Caliber R/T the other night, the key would NOT turn to the off position, i gave the wheel a wiggle as sometimes my old car would lock funny until the wheel was in place then the key could come out. That did not work. I made sure it was in Park, and it was. So getting frustrated, i started wiggling the key back and forth in attempt to jar ignition free...well, the key bent, and while trying to straighten it, it snapped off leaving the toothed part in the ignition and the electronic part in my hand. NICE!!!! this is the first thing i have experienced wrong with my car and i have 8000 kms on it. I am calling the dealer now that it's monday to find out if my ignition is covered under my warrenty, it better be. thats an absolute load of crap that the ignition would lock up for no reason. I have been following this forum since i bought my car, and have yet to read about this.

At least Roadside Assistance will tow it to the closest dealer for free....140 kms away!!! So that's cool. i'd hate to foot that bill.
