Default Got One!

I fell in love with the Caliber the first time I saw one early spring. I drove the same Caliber two different times to see if i liked the ride and if it had enough getty up { 2.0 SXT} it passed both tests. I did not want to buy the car early on, since they were a brand new model at the time. I bought a SXT Sport, 2.0, CVT, Marine Pearl Blue, speed control, Sirrus Radio etc. today ! I love it!

Interesting thing happened, the dealer I deal with locally had a Orange, Blue, and White one like I wanted. I liked all the colors, but was leaning toward Orange, the Orange one sold the day before I was planning on buying. So that left Stone White and Marine Pearl Blue. I was leaning heavily on White, but liked the Blue. I told the dealer I want to drive them both. He said okay, drive the Blue one first [it was outside] and while your doing that I will get the White one off the show room floor. So, I drove the Blue one it ran great as I expected and seemed to be a better ride than the one I drove early spring of 06. I drove it in town, highway and had a passenger to give me their opinion as well. I then went back and got the exact same car (white 2007 2.0 SXT Sport etc) and drove it, the same way, the same roads and everything and hands down the Blue car was far superior to the white one. the Blue one handled better ran smoother quieter, and responded much better smoother etc. more getty up and everything. I could not believe the difference. Although I was leaning toward the White color wise, I had to buy the one that was much superior in ride and performance. I am grateful I drove more than one and did not order one and have nothing to compare it to. I guess no two pairs of pants fits the same. The White one was built in September 06 and the Blue one October 06. The workers must have had a bad day or week in September and a great day or week in October!

I was fortunate enough to be able to pay cash for the car. Out the door price (taxes license everything) $18243.88. I probably could have bought a little cheaper, but I wanted to stay local and I like the dealer, service etc. Happy and safe Caliber driving to all.

You got a great deal! Did you pay cash? If not, they probably got you on the trade in or financing or both.
