What does the "CXT" translate to in words?
Does anyone know what the "CXT" model name means or translates to in words? I presume that "SE" model is "Standard Edition" and the "R/T" model is "Road and Track".
Thanks!
(Caliber ordered has not yet been built and is now in D-1 status; maybe it will be here by Christmas?....)

There is no such model as"CXT" in North America,I assume you mistakenly meant "SXT".
The 3 models of Caliber here are SE,SXT and RT only and I don't have any idea what the
term SXT stands for, maybe someone else knows.

SE - Standard Edition
SXT - Has no meaning, is essentially a higher level SE model with more standard options
R/T - Road & Track As a side bar, the early Plymouth model high performance models were RTS (Rapid Transit System)
R/T is a Dodge badging and has been in use since the late 50's.
ACR - American Club Racer
SRT - Street & Racing Technology - There is currently 2 SRT-4 models, 1 SRT-6 model, 4 SRT-8 models, and 2 SRT-10 models. There is also one more SRT-8 model forthcoming in the Challenger.

I know CVT = no more then 10 years transmission life
Used to burn them out like crazy way back when on racing carts. Now the CVT is better built and better cooled (barely better cooling)....
I give it 10 years.
I wonder, what has dodge published as far as changing the fluid on these? Or are they doing the VW way of doing things and saying it's maint. free so that you don't maintain it and have to replace it?

; I think I was merging the SXT acronym with the CVT acronym .... Maybe SXT is an acronym for "Standard eXTra"?
