Ok, I have the 07 Caliber with the 5 speed transmission, when the clutched is not pressed I hear a rattle coming from the transmission, when I press the clutch in it goes away. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the clutch under warranty thinking the throw out bearing was not seated properly. I got the car back and I have to say the clutch is great, better than before but I still have the rattling sound. I only have 4500 miles but the noise is driving me nuts. Anyone else having this problem?

 

Does sound like the throw out bearing. Did they replace it or just re-seat it?

 

Luckily my brother in law is my mechanic at the dodge dealership I go to, so I know for a fact that they replaced the entire clutch assembly. I am taking it back to him this week and see what he thinks it could be now.
