I've got an 2002 Caravan with 136,000 KM (84,500 Miles). About 3 weeks ago the transmission sliped on me as I was taking off (easy) from a red. Should I be worried? Is it normal for the transmission to slip once in a while? I have not had any trouble (with the transmission) since. I'm not a hard driver and flushed the transmission fluid at 80,000 KM.
The car has been bit of a lemon for me. Put several thousand dollars into it the last 6 months. Now that I have, I hate to walk away from my investment.

No--it should never slip--that can destroy the clutch plates very quickly. You should of course check the fluid level, and if that is OK, you should first replace the fluid and filter.

BTW--flushing a high mileage transmission (rather than just changing the fluid) is not recommended. In your case, 80,000 kilometers is probably not a problem, but I wouldn't do it again. Most shops will no longer do it on a high mileage vehicle because of almost immediate trans failures. You can goole it for the theory behind it.
