Bought my 05 Grand Caravan with 15,000 from Car Max, 1000 miles later I have the "mysterious thud" going over bumps that so many others have mentioned but the suspension is also making a clicking sound, especially when the body rolls or moves. I have no idea what that is, but its really annoying. Can anyone advise me on what specifically to tell the mechanic to check?

It just seems to me that the van would be a really stellar vehicle if the suspension wasn't so cheap, I mean Dodge makes trucks for crying out loud, they know how to build a decent suspension system.

Any advice would be great!

check the sway bar bushing at the k frame they get worn / the van needs to be on a drive on rack . the wheel can,t hang. alan

 

just did a 05 GC both outer tie rods were shot
have the front suspension/steering checked

 

funny I just bought this 05 GC and got them to give me the maintance report that was done so far and both outer tie rod and the sway bar bushings were changed at 15,000kms

Also changed on a recall was the power window motors and the wiper motor
