Too late. We bought a trailer... It's a 16 foot Cub Hybrid. Very light too. Gross weight is only 2700 lbs.

Hey fjacky what year model is your van? How much did you pay for that trailer?

I'm thinking about a 16 ft or 13 ft Scamp or Casita from ebay. They are way lighter than that CUB.

Also, what's your 0 - 60 mph time for the trailer / van combo? What kind of mpg are you getting too?

My 99 GC Sport 33L does 0-60 in 16 seconds with no AC and tach between 3 - 4 K rpm. With AC it's 23 seconds.

....And since the trailer is only a single axle I shouldn't need electric brakes.
Maybe so if your towing it with a honkin' great truck, but you need to be a bit careful here. If Chrysler say you need electric brakes above 1000lb and you end upcausing anaccident towing a single axle 2500lb trailer with no brakes neither your insurance company nor the law are going to take pity on you!
