Default 2005 Grand Caravan Center Floor Console

Has any one had any experience installing a Center console in a 2005 or later Grand Caravan with Stow and Go seating. I am trying to install one in my van and was wondering if any one could tell me if there are already mounting holes for installing the metal base. Thanks.

There are no predrilled holes. When you get the factory console - it has a template for where to drill them. Before drilling you will need to cut out a piece of carpet. The instructions mention how to do this as well.

You can download the instruction sheet here.

I've done lots without stow and go and their pretty easy. You do have to drill though

hmmm..wow...
In my 96 Sport, I had just found a plastic generic one at a local auto parts store on clearance for about 10 or 12 bucks, and painted it grey to match my interior color... didn't even mount it at all, just set it between the seats,..and ended up with 2 extra cup holders and the thing opened up with storage inside...think it even had CD slots

kinda wish I can find another now, my newer 2006 just came with the "net" between the seats

I bought the factory center console (my 05 has stow and go) on ebay for less than I could get it at the local dealer. Funny thing was it drop shipped from a dealer in Illinois. I paid the local dealer to do the install (I didn't feel like cutting wires behind where the dvd player is located) and the dealer was able to key the console lock so I could use my ignition key to lock/unlok it. The wiring is for to 12v plugs (one inside, one on the back side) and for the interior light. It is a deep console with a removable tray inside. My wife commented that it looks better than the box we used to sit there, plus it is lockable.
