the engine light wason my 99 grand caravan 3.3(200K) so my mechanic said that the egr is the problem so he replace the egr put new plugs, wire, fuel n air filter.now the problem is below 100kph if i press the gas the engine backfires sometimes its not .i brought it back many times but he cant fix the problem.is it posible that he install a defective egr valve because when i bring the car to him only the engine light is the problem?

 

what is the new code that is popping up and what plugs did he install???

 

im not sure whats the code but he put the regular champion spark plug

 

need to know what the new code it might not even be related to the egr.

 

i spend 3 hours try to get any codeusing the on n off method but can not get any code.i follow all the instruction on the book but i cant see a number that blinks.Do i have to look at the milage reading that what im doing?By the way before i bring my van to the shop my van runs smootly no backfires, after he replace the egr valve thats when the backfires begin.

 

yesterday engine lights on again and get this code P0301 missfire #1 cylinder how can i fix this one. thanks
