Default check engine light

My check engine light just came on. 2000 grand caravan sport, oil is changed regulary with mobile one , always kept spotless inside and out (my wife says I have OCD ) anyway, I check every everything every few days and I mean everything, it just turned 127k, looks and runs like it did when new, I have not had any work done on it recently, I say all of this to say its not a ragged out work van with a bunch of miles on it. This is the first time its ever came on, what do you guys think is the most common cause of the check engine light coming on given my situation ? Thanks, I am a shade tree mechanic but i dont know this one

My '05 did this once and after taking it in it came back to be bad gas. I had to run out all the gas and get new. Then after the new got in the system the light came off.

You can also check the code with the key. turn the key three times to contact position and you wil see the check engine light blinking several times. This is the code! take a note and check it here.

ON - OFF - ON -OFF- ON (DO NOT START THE ENGINE)

Good Luck

Take it to a place like Autozone--they will scan the engine code quickly and for free--then we can help. It could even be a loose gas cap.
