My 2003 Grand Caravan occassionally has problems going into reverse and/or Drive from park. It doesn't happen often (usually couple months apart) and seems to only occur if the vehicle has been parked a while. When I start the engine and put it into reverse, the tranny feels like it's in gear. However, hitting the gas doesn't move the vehicle. The feeling is like I'm trying to reverse with my brakes on; of course, I don't have the brakes on. Shift in and out of Drive a couple of times seems to fix it and then I don't have any problems for the rest of the day; usually, doesn't re-occur for a couple months afterwards. It occurred more frequently a couple of years ago while it was still under warranty and there was a period of 1 year that it didn't happen at all. When the dealer fixed it, under warranty, they said the tranny oil pump had failed and they replaced. That seemed to fix it for about 1.5 years. My wife just reported the problem again a couple nights ago, and of course, when I try it, I have no problems.

Anyone else had this problem and/or suggest any fixes?
