Problem with compartment heat
My parents are visiting and they have a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. They are having an interesting problem and I have not been able to find anything on it. The backside of the front passenger seat and the passenger side sliding door get extremely hot when driving. So hot at times that it is difficult to even touch. It does not occur on every trip but has become more frequent.
A friend suggested that the catalytic converter could be a problem. Another suggested that perhaps some insulation was left out during production.
The dealership indicates that they took everything apart in that area and could not identify a problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look under the van! I am pretty sure thats where the cat is.
Some heat is normal, too hot to touch the seat back/inner door is too much!
You may be running to rich and the cat is burning up. Take it to a better mechanic.
