How hard is it to replace the Serp. belt on a '90 Caravan with the V6? not sure which one but i got talked into replacing on on Friday and i'm just wondering how hard it is.

 

Not hard at all. You'll want to get a serpentine belt tool, though. There's not much room to get another type of wrench down there to loosen up the tension on the belts. The working end of the tool goes onto your belt tensioner and you rotate the tool to loosen the tension -- you don't actually remove any bolts.

how much does the tool cost to rent? and i know we get the money back. but me and him have hardly any money..hense why i'm doing it for him lol

 

I don't know. AutoZone's tool rentals are basically what it costs to buy the tool; then they refund your money when you return the tool. This wrench shouldn't be too expensive, but I'd call them and ask.
