Can you take a regular higher rated speaker &attach the amps from the original infinity speakers ?. The original speakers are pretty lousy . They are always blowing out .

Yes, I would suggest shecking with Crutchfied to see what sizes and brands will work and fit. You can then see if you can get the same speakers cheaper locally. I bought a head unit and speakers from them and am very impressed with the supplied model specific installation instructions and adapters that i needed to install it myself. I had a question that was not clearly obvious in the instructions and their telephone support was very helpful.

 

I do not want to get a new head unit , I just want to replace the speaker and put the original amp that is on the old speaker onto the new replacement speaker.

You don't need a new head unit, I just made the suggestion to go to that website to see exactly what speakers will fit for the locations that you want to replace. You don't want to buy speakers and then find out when you are trying to install them that they don't fit because they are too deep or b/c the grills won't fit in the factory locations. All you will have to do is disconnect the factory speaker wires and reconnect them to the new speakers. You may have to "adapt" the factory wiring connection to the new speakers if your's have a "factory" connector like mine did.
