I admit it ... I connected the battery backwards and the car started going crazy.

Now the dashboard doesn't light up, the signal lights don't work and the power locks don't work. The power windows work and so do the rearview windows.

Are the fuses just blown ..... how can I fix this problem?

i did it my boat one time, and lucky for me it just tripped the main circuit breaker.
start with checking your fuses, and go from there.
i'm not sure about your caravan, but my ram has small fuses in end of dash, and larger fuses and relays under the hood, near the battery. good luck.
