AC no go..
Hello all,
My friend and I are stumped, and let it be known my freind does work at an auto shop. My condensor on the Dodge Grand Caravan was dead, bad grinding clutchnoises.
We've put in a reconditioned unit, that has been verified to fit the vehicle. We've aslo replaced the transducer/sensor.
The problem is that the AC works fine when we're moving along on the highway and the electric fan is working...but when we're idling the eletric fan doesn't kick in and distributes warm air to the inside of the van. We've checked the following:
[ul][*]For the record it was working right before the condensor clutch gave up.[*]Compressor is right for 01Grand Caravan with Rear air[*]It holds maintains the appropriate pressure[*]System was recharged[*]Fan works normally for cooling the van itself[*]No codes are being thrown[*]Disconnected battery, and reconnected in case it needed to 'relearn'[/ul]
Ideas, anyone? Help!!!I've thrown $750.00 bucks at this and still no properly functioning air.
