I have a 2008 GC SXT and would like to splice into a wire under the dash for a radar detector. I would like the wire to turn on/off with the ignition and would prefer a power outlet / cig lighter wire. Dodge and our service department have been unable to provide this info.

Does anyone know which wire (color & location) would be safe to splice into?

 

dark blue and pink for the cig lighter u dont want it hooked up to the power outlet it will stay on all the time.

There is a detachable wire harness right under the dash by the e-brake and I see a dark blue/pinkwire right there. Do you think that should be the one?

 

u want to get the wire under the center cig lighter just because there is the same color wire where u see it might not be the one u are looking for.
