I am looking to replace the carpet in my 1996 Dodge Caravan and was wondering how to take out the front car seats. I would appreciate the help.

 

there's 4 or 5 bolts under the seat that bolts the seat to the seat base. With the bulk of the seats out of the way you might be able to slot the carpet and drop it over the base pieces. Some seats also had an electrical connection for seat belt sensors and the like. Aside from that, there are 4 bolts on each that go through the floor to the underside of the van to take the bases out. Sometimes tey come out easy and sometimes they are oxidised pretty badly depending on where in the country you live.... Good Luck
