Default what will burn an ignition coil

Hi.
I have a 98 Caravan (2.4l)
I has been running eratic for a while. Computer code 43.
I changes the plugs and it went a way for a few days but I went out of town and it happend again.
Around 60 to 80Mk/h it will missfire with loss of power.

I had cables and coil changed yestarday.
After a block or two acording to the mechanic the coil went out.

Question. What can cause the coil to burn?
I am plaing to leave on a long trip this weekend and would like to take the van.

Regards.
G.

Default RE: what will burn an ignition coil

it could be age, heat, cold, shotty manufacturing, contamination from poor manufacturing many things could cause it to go bad, no offense to you or anything but when they redisigned the caravan in 96 Quality and relibality has gone downhill considerably I still sometimes wish I kept my 94 it was a awsome van anyway replace the coil you should be fine
