Default A few seemingly simple repair questions...

My wife and I have been looking for a good minivan for about 4 weeks now, we have found 2 we like but there are some issues that we would need to get fixed ASAP. So, here they are.

1998-(99) Caravan SE - Everything is lit up on the dash display except the mileage and the transmissions gear location.

Q.) What could this be? A simple bulb replacement?

1998-(99) Caravan SE - When ever I try to use the power window switch for the drivers side down position the switch just makes a buzzing/screeching sound, and neither of the back windows work.

Q.) Is this just a need to replace the main switch in the drivers side door?

2000 Grand Caravan SE - The blower will not work unless it's on high. (I've read this could be the resistor, or worse case the blower motor).

Q.)Anyway to check both of these without have to remove/replace?

2000 Grand Caravan SE - When using the blower location switch (floor, floor/windshield, panel, etc....) it will not switch or completely change location but always seems to blow out of the panel.

Q.) What could this be caused by? Easy fix?

The power window issue is most likely the motor they are notorious for having power window issues you can either replace the mechinism or just the motor sometime you have to replace the whole ***'y as the cable get moisture in it and corrodes
the blower motor issue is most likely the resistor its an easy fix the resistor is about 10-14 from the dealer its also easy to get to

and the back windows check to make they are connected to the little ball that actuates them that is the most common issue with those

I would personally choose the 2000 model but thats just me it seems like it has less problems as far as the selector switch I'm not sure about without tearing it apart myself as I have never worked on the 96-00 models that much
Hope this helps

My wife and I have been looking for a good minivan for about 4 weeks now, we have found 2 we like but there are some issues that we would need to get fixed ASAP. So, here they are.

1998-(99) Caravan SE - Everything is lit up on the dash display except the mileage and the transmissions gear location.

Q.) What could this be? A simple bulb replacement?\
A.) Possibly. It could also be a BCM issue, just not as likely.

1998-(99) Caravan SE - When ever I try to use the power window switch for the drivers side down position the switch just makes a buzzing/screeching sound, and neither of the back windows work.

Q.) Is this just a need to replace the main switch in the drivers side door?
A.) Two separate problems if you mean the rear vent windows. Sounds like the DS power window switch needs replacing or there is a door regulator/motor problem. Where is the screeching coming from? If it's inside the door I would bet on it being the motor/regulator. The rear vent windows may be a switch/wiring problem (not getting voltage) or the motor(s) need replacement. Motors are about $100 each and are more usually the problem.

2000 Grand Caravan SE - The blower will not work unless it's on high. (I've read this could be the resistor, or worse case the blower motor).

Q.)Anyway to check both of these without have to remove/replace?
A.) Sounds like the resistor to me, too. Not a hard/expensive fix. The blower motor works, just only on high, so the motor probably isn't the problem.

2000 Grand Caravan SE - When using the blower location switch (floor, floor/windshield, panel, etc....) it will not switch or completely change location but always seems to blow out of the panel.

Q.) What could this be caused by? Easy fix?
A.) It could be that the diverter door has a problem. You have to disassemble the dash to get to the HVAC unit and/or run down the vacuum leak. It depends on how easy you think that is.
For clarity I answered inside your quote in bold.

I would agree with webee but check the pivot arms first as they are prone to coming off first before tearing into the motor or switch
