Default 2004 Caravan blower

[align=left]My Heater blower stopped working. I checked fuse and relay and they are good. I found where the Blower motor wires plug into a receptical behind the glove box. I get 12 volts on both wires to ground. I unplugged the wires and connected them to a battery and the blower works.

There is a little box that has 2 blue wires running to it. This is mounted to bottom of blower housing. Is this the control wires?

I'd like to no my next step to troubleshoot, i need heat it's freezing here.

Thanks John

It may be the control resistor has blown out. Usually it works on high only when bad, however there is another part on it that can fail, which results in no-workie. I would try replacing it, as it's less than $20. It's the receptacle behind the glove box that multiple wires plug into. Not the box on the blower.

The fan doesn't work at all, so I don't think it's the resistor. I'm not sure what that thing is called that all the wires plug into, but it looks simple to change. I guess it is probably a Dealer item/

Here's the blower motor resistor location. It's right behind the glove box, squeeze the sides of the glovebox in to gain access. Takes 5 minutes to do and the part cost me $20 as of 03/25/08.

I would try replacing it also, I guess I live in a cheap part of the county as my dealer on charged me 12.98 two weeks ago
