hi, i own a 2003 caravan. planning to go on a trip and changed my sparkplugs. after i changed them the engine/car shakes when i put the car in drive. when i gas it the car doesnt feel as strong. i put in champion sparkplugs. did i accidentely knock a hose off or do u think the actual plugs could be broken? any help would be grateful.

 

First check I'd do is to ensure that I got the wires connnected correctly for the engine's firing order. That is the easiest check. You'll need to find a firing order diagram for your engine.

If that's good, then I'd probablytry to pullan OBD reading. I wouldn't recommend driving the vehicle much (or at all, if it can be avoided)in its current condition.

Are you using the right plugs and if so are they gapped properly? I know they changed the plugs on some of the motors around the 03-04 model.

 

thks guys. i cant believe how much trouble these plugs r causing me lol. im gonna buy some new wires rite now. ill report back afterwards

 

didnt buy any wires and i bought some plugs from chysler/dodge dealership. the van works fine now. if the first pair didnt work because of the gap thing, im in shock. i never knu that some plugs arent properly gapped. when i used to change my plugs on my older cars, i never had a problem.[:@]
