Default 98' Caravan with middle bench, would capt'n chairs fit?

Would captains chairs from a 97 caravan fit in a 98 van currently with a bench seat?
I have someone willing to give them to me and deliver but i want to makes sure they will work.

I looked and we only have 2 tracks on the floor do the captains chairs need 4?

Those should fit, as they use the same tracks. You may have difficulty getting the seats to lock down in the track because of carpet interference. The fix is to leverage the locking handle with a length of wood until it catches.

I have a 97 Caravan. I replaced my centre bench seat with Capt's chairs a few years back.

It should work fine. However, the Chairs will only fit themiddle track, not the rear track.

The reason - the chair's armrests interfere with the side of the van.

Also. the chairs can fit in 2 different positions. The first position is close to the 2 front seats.

The 2nd position is about 4 - 6 inches further back, resulting in additional legroom.

I have to agree with Webee. The locking mechanism can be tough sometimes. What I do from time to time is to spray the mechnaism with WD-40 and

this permits smoother operation.

Make sure the locking mechanism activates, because the lock is only on one side of the chair. Be sure the hook at the back is locked in position too.
