dodge ticking noise after switch change

Default dodge ticking noise after switch change

dodge grand caravan sxt I hear a ticking noise when its idle and when i drive it started after i got it back from a engine switch was replaced when it woulden start its very loud the clicking i took it back 5 days later when i heard the clicking noise and they say it may be a engine bering and that it would cost 5000$ they say it was low on oil it have 19000 miles on it but woulden that be a warenty thing that cover that ??? it started after i got i back from the dodge garage and my oil lamp was never on or anything ?????

It should be under warranty for 36000 miles at the very least as long as the maintenance was done with normal oil changes . It is up to you to make sure the oil is at normal levels even if the van isn't very old old as some engines will use more oil than others. It could be as simple as changing the oil and filter sometimes different filters can cause ticking specially when first started up .

it is the valves. my friend had the same thing. THey just click after a while and you can get a valve adjustment but it doesnt always solve it. It is not a big deal other than being annoying.

ok thanks i got scared there that i had to change the motor 5 grand is alot on a 26000$ van after just 19000 miles
