2000 G.Caravan Aftermarket radio install help???
Hey, Im new to this site, but I've been searching for some help on installing an after market radio in our 2000 Grand Caravan. We've got all the wires together and the radio turns on, but when you go to turn the headlights on the mileage and navigation lights flicker and a burning smell comes from the headlight switch. There are two wires grouped together that unplugged from the factory stereo (purple/white) and (white/black), what needs to be done with them, they are whats causing the problem and I can't find anything about it. This only happens when you turn the lights on, it works fine with them off.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Those wires you mentioned needs taped up so they dont touch any metal and your lights will work fine.. i didn't know what they were until i accidently left them un taped and my hole dash gages wasn't working due to them touching the back of the radio.. also make sure you havn't blew any fuses.
