97 Caravan ES Evaporater core removal
Last year I purchased a 97 Grand Caravan ES and about a month later the A/C went out. It was towards the end of the summer so we weren't too concerned about it. We waited until this year to have a diagnostic done and were informed that the problem was a faulty evaporater core and accumulater/drier.
Last week I removed the accumulater/dryer and filled the car with R134 in hopes that the diagnostic was the result of the stealership trying to get rich. Turns out this was accurate and the evap core needs to be replaced.
I began the process of removing the entire dash including the bar that holds the steering column in place but this thing still will not budge. I'm not new to DIY repair work, but I am new to Chrysler/Dodge products. At this point I'm throughly frustrated with this car and ready to send it to the stealership for the r+r or the core.
I have taken every bolt loose on the interior side of the dash. I have not tackled anything from the firewall side yet. Are there any bolts to be removed and if so can anyone provide a diagram of those bolts? It looks like to get to any part of the firewall the intake manifold/TB must be removed. Is that correct?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The HVAC unit is held in place by I believe 4 bolts on the firewall side. The should be right above the exhaust manifold. You will also have to remove the heater core hoses. Try this link posted by another forum member for other info:http://oskin.ru/pub/chrysler-dodge/manuals/FAQ/WIRING/
