i just got a used 2008 grand caravan SE with 21900km. when i turn on the wipers i hear an ear-piercing screech from the windshield. visual inspection confirms metal arm of wiper on driver side touches the windshield as it moves (scratching the windshield). is there a fix for this that i can do myself? thanks.

 

If you just purchased the van, take it back to the dealer and let them fix it at no charge. If not, either bend the arm so that it won't touch the window or inspect the arm to see if it can't be bent or beyond repair. Replace the arm if necessary. You can do it yourself, but it is best to call your dealer and inform them of the problem. Then take it back to them for repair...
