Hi all. My name is Steve.
I am a new member and a 2000 Caravan owner. I am trying to learn how to navigate this DF.
I was looking for some info on tipping out my engine on my 2000 caravan so I can access the sparkies near the fire wall. Would I have to unhook my exhaust? As well I would like to know if the damm alternator bracket still needs to be modified to make the task easier since the 89 Dynasty where I ground out a bit to get the plug socket on the plug without removing the bracket. It would be nice to be able to perform this task without going to the garage every time I wanted to change out my sparkies because I would like to try the side gapping method to gain more fuel mileage. I do have trouble working in tight places with the arthritis in my hands at 61 years young ha ha. I had the dealer put on a new timing belt while they put in a new tranny because the shift pin fell out and went through the case. Not covered by warranty at 2000.00 and then another 500.00 for a timing belt, like money just grows on trees. Wait while I go out back and pick a few. By the time I drove away I was 3000.00 less lighter in my bank account. Since then I have acquired a spare transmission which I carry in the trunk just in case. I threw out the spare tire and carry a patch kit.
So much about myself, another Dodge sucker.
