Unhappy A/C problem

Got a 98 grand caravan. My a/c turns on but only on the highest blower speed. Nothing happens if i put it on any other speed nor the blower or compressor come on. Only works on high. Is there a relay or a resistor that i have to change? Please help my kids freeze up.

sounds like a blower resistor. usually when they typically go out you will only have high and/or low speed on your blower motor. these caravans eat them up cause i have sold a ton of them this summer working at carquest. its a cheap fix and if that doesnt do it id check your fan switch but usually if that goes out you wont have any settings for hi-lo. im not a mechanic by any means but id replace the resistor first and go from there. and no, i have no idea where its located, usually on the firewall by the blower motor but i could be mistaken.

Thumbs up Thanks

Thanks for the info on the blower resistor. worked like a charm. If any body is looking where it is, at least in mine is located under the hood on the firewall to the top passenger side. Very hard to miss. THANKS AGAIN
