How many miles do you have on yours

310k on 2000 Caravan
I thought I would see what the worlds record is.
The only thing I have done is 2 timing belts, and fuel pump.
My wife wants me to write a letter to Dodge...
I drive it 100 miles every day or more with it. I love it. Runs great, but leaks oil and transmission fluid.

331,597 today on my Energizer Bunny 97 Grand Caravan. Like the guy at the other end of Dirty Harry's Magnum when asked if Clint had fired 5 shots or 6 from the most powerful handgun, "I gotta know!" So everyday I need to know just how far this vehicle will go? Will I get 5 hundred thousand or maybe six hundred thousand? I's got to know! Maybe someday soon I may give it its very first tuneup. Perhaps that may add to its chances. But I'll wait on that.

Lets see if I can list all of the current hi miles dodges at my house right now:
83 Ramcharger, My first truck318 2bbl auto: 306,000

99 chevy 3500 cutaway box van, 557,000-runs like crap, horrible gas mileage but wont die.
84 GMC C60 odo rolled too many times to tell maybe 89,000 miles or could be 989,000 who knows.

96 Dodge Grand Caravan
1996 Dodge Grand Caravan 90,000 miles when i got it, currently 113,000
3.8 V-6, 4 speed auto
Was my father's, when he passed, it sat for 2 years
Due to sitting the alternator bearing seized
Replaced Alternater and new serpentine belt
Air filter, regular oil changed with dino every 3000 miles
Switched to mobil one synthetic and mopar oil filter
Replaced rusted out power steering hard lines
Now need to replace power steering pump due to noise and leakage
Replaced wiper motor
Replaced front brake rotor and pads, resurfaced rear drums, put new shoes
Added heavy duty coil over rear load leveling monroe shocks original shocks were still good.
Mounted a Class 3 hidden hitch for light towing, though it's rated to tow 3700 pounds great for almost anything you can think of !!
Added trailer light wiring harness
Added an auxillary transmission oil cooler with custom alluminum brackets to keep tranny oil temps down when towing
Still have to add an engine oil cooler just not sure if it came with one from the factory or not-have to check this.
Have to replace a/c evaporator core $1200.00 ( ouch ! )
Replaced all tires with new ones, old ones were wrong size 60 series, oe is 65 series
Changed tranny fluid with mopar +4 and new tranny filter
Replaced EGR valve and motor comes as an assembly
Replaced PCV valve and PCV valve tube old one was dry rotted.
Replaced water temp SENDER to fan relays
Have to replace front 02 sensor this week
Replaced ignition coil
Still have to replace plugs, wires and install new valve cover gaskets they are leaking
Flushed radiator fluid, new thermostat, new radiator hoses top and bottom
new radiator cap.
Replaced driver side electric window motor old one died.
Replaced turn signal switch
Have to replace headliner the humidity down here wrecks havoc
Have to repaint it due to peeling clear coat on hood and fenders
Will have to replace oil pan due to leaking gasket and rust
Motor mounts could use changing no problems so far
Wiring harness to fuel injectors may need changing down the road due to fault code with fuel injector which this van is prone to doing not from a bad injector but from a bad harness which is 375.00 from dodge.
Runs very good and very smooth though great on long trips!!!

1994 Grand Caravan 3.3L
225,000 miles
Bought with 154,000 already on it
Repairs:
Rear Shocks, Rear wheel bearings, AC Compressor, Transmission fluid/filter change (called a repair because it stopped moving, fluid/filter changed fixed it) both front axles,
Current issues:
tiny drip from torque converter outer seal - no biggie
minor vibrations at highway speeds - probably front wheel bearings now
I used this van from the day I bought it to travel to construction sites, hauling various equipment. It turned 200,000 miles while I was travelling from Mississippi to Indiana, working in MS, visiting home in IN. Ive driven it all over the eastern US, with many trips to and from MS, TN and WV to IN. Great ride, comfy, enough power to satisfy.
All in all, the suspension repairs are 99% likely from driving it on rough jobsites all the time. I have been completely satisfied with my purchase. The engine still runs so quiet sometimes I think it died - not that thats ever been a problem.
And the snow - wow. It can handle some snow, from a light coating on top of ice, to 16" to plow through - it has done it all.
Also have a 88 GMC S15 with over 300,000 on it, A 96 Suburban at 190,000 miles and a 95 Avenger with 180,000 miles. Unfortunately, (or fortunately; I like my GMCs) I think the longevity award is either going to the GMC S15 or the GMC Suburban.
