I am having problems with my odometer reading.i replaced alot of the electronics from fire damage.now the odometer reads 55,000 miles.i did not change the odometer.and prior to changing the parts my car had 137,000 miles.can anyone tell me what part changed reading or how to use one of the parts i took off. Thanks

 

If you changed the ECM (computer) that or the TCM (tranny comnputer might have this stored also) that is where the odometer reading is stored and sent to the dashboard when the car is on. Beware that in some states if you change the computer, it needs to be re-programmed for the VIN number on the vehicle it is in, to match for inspection purposes.

 

You don't say what year your van is but usually the BCM (Body computer) stores the mileage.

 

Take your PCM to your dealership and have them flash in the new vin and correct mileage. This may cost a fee.
