Exclamation Transmission 2004 Caravan..feels like a manual, not auto.

When cruising at low speeds, like through a parking lot, still in first gear and I let off the gas, the transmission feels like a manual as it decelerates. What I mean is that you can feel it "disengage" and rpm down, instead of of feeling nothing at all. Then when I re-accelerate it's a short "wind-up" and "catch" as the motor rpm has to catch up to wheel speed. That really dont bother me as much as the deceleration grab. Is this normal? My van is a 2.4 liter. I was thinking broken motor mounts or worn CV axles. I would like to drive another 2.4 caravan and see if it does it.
