Default What can I expect on 2.4 Caravan $$ in the future?

I haven't decided whether or not I like this van. The new, or the "new to me" rather, has worn off and I now wonder about high maintenance costs. What can I expect in the way of timing belt, serpentine belt, transmission and other little items? Its a 2.4 DOHC. Very noisy little motor by the way. Underpowered...screams through the dashboard. When the AC is running it sounds like a Model T in the driveway.

Check the oil, overhead cams get very loud when the oil is low.

I have 5 qts. of Valvoline in it I plan on running about 5000 miles on. I work as a sales consultant an an auto shop and I have never noticed any others running this loud. When possible I try to drive the vehicles that come in to compare them to mine. Of course this is from the shop to the parking area only. But we are are really a tire shop, not a mechanic shop, so no one there really knows or pays much attention. I dont know, it just sounds like a metal cash box full of coins being rattled around sometimes. I picture real bad things going on under that valve cover.
