When I push on the cruise control on button while driving, the cruise light turns on then off. When parked then started the engine, i can turn on the cruise control light but then i start driving it turned off. My horn works, check engine light is off, and the airbag light is off so I think that ruled out the clockspring. Any suggestions? There's a small plastic box with a spring switch that operates with the brake pedal. What is that and could that be the problem?

I am having the same exact issue.

Horn works
No airbag light

I turn the car on and the cruise control will turn on and off within 2 secs when pressing the steering wheel button.

Even if traveling on the highway at 50+ mph, same thing happens...on then off w/in 2 secs. If I attempt to turn back on it is non responsive.

I have replaced the brake switch on the brake pedal...no change.

Vacuum checked on the servo...no issues there.


Any help would be appreciated.
