Default Battery Terminal Replacement Need Help

Hey Everyone, I am installing a car alarm on a 2001 dodge grand caravan sport 3.3L V6. When I opened up the hood to disconnect the battery the negative battery terminal was cracked and the lug to the terminal was busted and spun freely. I was able to disconnect it and get it off but there is no way to tighten it and it doesn't make a clean connection with the actual battery pole. The battery terminal is crimped?/Soldered? on.. and there is almost no play in the cable for me to splice a new one on. Any ideas on how to replace this terminal? Do I have to buy a new engine wiring harness? Any help is appreciated!

*edit. The current negative battery cable has 3 wires crimped into the connector. I went looking for replacement cables and they all only have 2 wires. There is almost NO slack to cut the terminal clamp and replace a new one. Please help if you can!

Get one of the terminals that have a clamp on the "wire" end instead of the splice in kind.If you need more wire you can melt the old clamp off the wire with a propane torch. You don't need to turn the lead to liquid to get it loose, just heat it enough to soften it and pull it off with pliers.
Some negative battery cables only go as far as a gound terminal so you might be able to buy just a negative cable.

that would work but even the terminal is some sort of like "extra long terminal"
here is an image of the terminal, I've never seen one like it... not sure if this was like the 2nd terminal replacement that has been done.
