My 2003 Grand Caravan Sport does not have any backlighting behind the headlight and power mirror controls switches. I noticed this a few weeks ago and took it in but they tell me at the dealership that that is an option that does not come on our van. Is this correct? I could have sworn that it was always lit up before and my parents van is 2 years older and does not have as many options as mine and it is lit up and so are all the power windows,doors and side vent switches, but once again ours are not. The driver door window switch lights up when you turn on the ignition switch but none of the other ones light up, I find this hard to believe in this day and age that if you want some switches lit up in the dark that you have to have a certain option package. All the switches in both (driver & passenger) doors have the little light in them but only the one lights up, can anyone give me some more information on this and is this an option that I don't have or is something broken?

That's how they make their profits larger, cut out the simple items we took for granted. Even look at the power motors for the rear 1/4 glass, was standard before now is an upgrade.

 

Same here. Just bought a used G-caravan 04 and realized the same thing.
Ipulled out the headlamp switch and noticed 2 sockets for bulbs, without bulbs.
Is this theonly thing missing?[:-]
